VPC - Browser Issues Support


Browser Controls






• This browser does not have the capability of storing bookmarks (favorites). The only page it can store is the default home page that it will open when the browser opens.

• To change the home page please click on the "Preferences" button on top left hand corner. A small window will open with three tabs. You can change the home page on the "General" tab of the preferences.

• Network tab will allow you to select whether you would like to accept "Cookies" or not and also whether you would like to enable "Javascript" or not.

• Appearance tab allows you to change the font size and default font type. As well as you could select to force the font size to a specific size.

• Flash - The current browser does not support any Flash players. This will prevent viewing some web pages.
Certain major websites have a simplified version on the server which will load up.


Other Information

• Facebook - Facebook will load up a mobile version.
• Gmail - Loads up fully.
• Hotmail - To check hotmail please use mobile.live.com which will load up the mobile version of hotmail.
• Twitter - Loads up fully.
• MSN.com - Loads up but none of the links work and the browser window will freeze.
YouTube Instructions In order to play videos from YouTube:
After clicking on a youtube video click on the "Play" button located on the upper right hand side of the Web Browser.




A new tab will open as pictured below. Once the video has loaded 100%, it will start to play automatically. Please be patient some videos will load slower then others depending on video size and quality.




• If these steps have not worked for you, an update required to fix the problem.This update is only required if YouTube does not run correctly on your VPC!
   - From a computer other than the VPC
   - Click on the download link below
   - Download Here.
   - Decompress the files and transfer all of the files to an SD card
   - (Use a 1GB or 2GB SD card. Do not use an SDHC card >2GB)
   - Turn off the VPC
   - Put the SD card into the VPC
   - Turn on the VPC and the update will run automatically.
   - Remove the card and reboot the VPC
